We were in the beginning stages of thinking about moving. Chris patiently worked with us over the course of two years. She visited our home several times over the two years, giving us suggestions on necessary work to be completed before sale, references to complete the work, and praise and encouragement along the way for the prepping of our house. Once we were ready to list the house, she gave us other great ideas on staging. We asked LOTS of questions along the way and no question was dumb or off limits. She was honest and kept us in reality with what to ask for the house. We listed the house and three weeks later had a contract after several offers. We were trying to sell the house while living out-of-state, so we needed someone we could trust, someone who knew the process and local market well, and someone who would communicate with us on a regular basis as we moved through the process. Since the house was a rental for several years, there was several issues that needed to be addressed before listing as well as a response to the inspection report during the closing. She quickly transformed the curb-appeal of the house in a short time period with basic cleaning measures, so the house was more attractive to buyers, resulting in a very short listing period. Chris effectively managed the issues detailed in the inspection report under the sales agreement - plumbing, chimney, roofing, cleaning, spray washing, yard cleaning - getting quotes, checking on past contractor performance, following up with contractors and suppliers on work completed, and making sure they met deadlines. She was literally was our trusted agent on the ground. Chris also used her knowledge of the market and negotiating skills with other brokers to guide us through some important decision-making. She never pressured us, but clearly laid out the options and implications at different decision points. She made a challenging process much more pleasant.
